It has been working for a week. It is doing its job in that it has been found by several "new" hunters and several others have shown interest. I have not had any complaints from hams or others about any interference and the neighbors seem to have accepted their new sun catcher.
The only complaint from the finders is that the sign in sheet got wet due to a hole in the bag and a "new" bag was was furnished by N6XFC, thanks Steve.
The batteries would have lasted for a bout 10 days without the solar panel so the next week will show just what the panel can do.
I hope to service the unit next week with some nice camo paint on the panel (it is bright red now) and mount the panel on a pole for better efficiency.
